I got into the 5 man plane. The propeler started. All was good, because It was all just outside. We rose to an altitude of 3,500 feet, and it was still far from my mind. Things got smaller, thats all. All was well until the side door swung open. The wind rushed unside, as well as the noise and rain, and at that moment I knew it was very, very real. The first jumped and we circled around for my turn. The Instuctor checked the front of my chute. I'm on my knees. He then wanted to check the back, so I put my head between my legs, and for some funny reason that is what i remember most. Being safe. It was then my turn to climb out. My mind went numb, all that they taught me went right out the window like the last guy. I held onto the plane, and didn't want to let go, but I knew that I had to. I let go and and as I did, I didn't know what was next. Once the chute poped out it was fine, but what a multitude of emotions that flew in and out of my head. It was great. Sureal. And thats all I need to say about that. There it is, plain as it needed to be.
