Talked to Bernie last night. The owner of the Metaphysical bookstore and philosophy major. This was our conversation.
Iraq says the can live in the 13th century, and the west says thats insane. We say they can't, they say they can, we say they can't, they say the can, and they do. Now Iraq thinks it's freaking Sodom and Gomorra in the west, and that America is freaking Insane.
Now we can see how this is possible for countries or groups of people, but how bout individuals? The man across the street who cleans his white rocks in his front yard, or the neighbor who checks to see if the alarm on his car is working every hour, are these people normal? Are the things that they do vital? There are soldiers all over the world killing and dying for what they think is a huge cause, and then theirs this person scrubbing his rocks thinking that there is some importance to that. The world is slowly slipping into insanity and no-one is the wiser.
Bernie told me to watch people, or see what they put the most emphasis on in their lives. I've been doing that, and Ive even been analyzing myself.
I've come to the conclusion that the world is insane, that I know people who think of only themselves, and it makes me sick to know that they are insane. Difference between them and myself, is that I am aware of the insanity, and there are things in my life that need to change starting tonight. They will never know, and they will stay focused on themselves or the rocks in front of their yard.
I do feel sorry for these people now my eyes are open to the insanity. But not sorry enough that I actually want to help them. Time to focus on myself then other peoples insanity. I've been doing that for too long.
