Things to be thankful for:
Family. So supportive, so caring, so wanting to be involved in how I am and what I am doing. Genuine care, unconditional love, and support when needed.
Friends. Wow. What an amazing group I have become a part of. Every weekend and weekday is something to do. From dressing up in drag and going dancing, to water sports at a lake property, to random beers, dance nights, practice nights, movie nights. What a wonderful chance it was to get involved with them. Eduardo, you're my prince! Always loving, always helping, and always making me amazing food. The core friends, always there. There is a reason why you are so close.
Job. Although it sucks right now, I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn in a title that is above me and will open doors for me in the future. Looking for new work in the near future will be an exciting process.
House. Super thankful to have my own space. Kept clean. Easy to pay for and maintain. Fun to host, even though it's happening way too much lately. But I do enjoy every moment of it.
Myself. Life throws me curve balls, and I nail them out of the park. I do so with calm, care and dignity. I have always wanted to be self sufficient, and I am. I know that no matter what happens I can deal with it. Not to say it's a bad thing to ask for help, just saying that I know if I had to, I wouldn't need any.
Health. Even with all the activities I have been doing that usually include scotch and cigarettes, I am healthy. I sleep well, I have low stress, and even though I am tired from the weekends activities, a quick nap and some good food will rest my body back to peak health.
We bitch and complain so much, and there usually is a lot to complain about. For now though, and the past couple months, the focus has been on the good.
Things have been real good.
