I now know why someone would want to kill another person.
There are two types of killers. People who kill for pleasure, and those who kill out of necessity. Of course there are going to be those few that are purely accidental, but they don't count.
The ones who kill out of necessity, do not seem to intrigue me as much, for the purpose is that of need. It's more inticing to think of the motives that one would have to kill out of pleasure, and I believe I have found one. Not because of television, not because of something I have heard, but because I started to think about it. Here is my logic:
When someone of intellect starts to question life, or even dive further into knowledge, a question will arise. "What is the purpose of Life?" When trying to understand something like this, one must look at the other end of the spectrum. (One can not truly experience pleasure when the have not experienced pain, or the color white seems to acquire new attributes when the color black is put beside it)
"What is the purpose of death?" Now when the idea of the purpose of death arises in the search for knowledge, the idea or concept of death itself arises. This is where one can continue down the path of understanding of death, or stop, feeling content in what they have already learnt. One can wake away at this point, leaving with the answers that they were searching for. However, there are a few, who seem to dive deeper in this subject.
The most precious thing, I believe is life. Without life, experiencing of other precious things would not be. It is life that gives the opportunity to do so. So if life is the most precious thing, since life is the gateway to experience, what would it feel like to take one away? To destroy? I was given life, and it is incredible. If I were to take life, would it be the same.
God, God is power, God is Universal, God is untouchable in our physical realm, God is in every element of nature and in every aspect of existence. God is the creator, God is the destroyer, God has given life, God is within life, God takes away life.
Most religions believe that God, is in everything he creates, and since we humans are made in his image, would that not mean that God would be in us humans the most? With what I have said, I have established that Life is the most precious thing in existence, God is in essence, life itself, and God is power.
Also there would be no physical repercussions and would have to be the most powerful thing known to man. I believe if I were to kill someone, I would make a conscious effort to look into his eyes the moment before he died, I believe it would be like looking directly at God himself. This one reason, this one moment of emotion that would come from taking a life, would be enough motive for one to take another ones life.
We all wish for power, some may not admit it, and I believe that this one act would be the most empowering thing anyone could ever want. Of course with this come moral dilemmas, but some may think that the ends of murder, justify the means. If I had the opportunity to take a life without any physical and transphyisical repercussions, I believe I would, just to look into the eyes of God for one moment, and see what he sees.
