Circle's, Squares, Triangles, all rudimentary shapes that we all were taught about in the early stages of life.
Circles - a closed plane curve every point of which is equidistant from a fixed point within the curve.
Rectangles - A closed planar quadrilateral with opposite sides of equal lengths A and B, and with four right angles.
Triangles - the plane figure formed by connecting three points not in a straight line by straight line segments.
Simple, elementary, nothing strange or enticing here, just a simple fact in life that hasn't changed for as long as it was "introduced".
However, if one can romanticize the idea of a diamond, why can I not do the same for these un-glorified simple shapes?
Time to parallel the parallel...and equate the UN-equate able.
We all lead our lives, face certain problems, and solve them by different means, all differences that cannot relate. However we all have these problems, and choices, and lives no matter how different they are, therefore we are still all very similar.
But to say that everyone leads the same kind of life or lifestyle would be naive of me, so let's simplify, and what better way then to digress to simple shapes.
The circle - Never too far from the center, the circular life provides comfort from the lack of options: #1. Travel clockwise forever and never truly arrive at any certain point, without any decision making along the way, and never to far from the center, your home. #2. Travel counter-clockwise forever and never truly arrive at any certain point, without any decision making along the way, and never to far from the center, your home.
The Rectangle - Always two decisions: #1. Travel the long road, and arrive at a point that again gives you two options, the long road or the short road. #2. Travel the short road, and arrive at a point that again gives you two options, the long road or the short road. Never fixed to a certain point, always two distinctive choices.
The Triangle - Only one decision, deceptively masked as two separate decisions. Left road or right road, both roads are the same, and once the decision is made and one arrives at the new point, the same decision is their, for them to make again. Left road or right, both equal in distance, both equal in every single way.
Now the point of all this. *hopefully I have one*
The circular life is one of comfort, but lack of choice. Always staying near the center, always traveling, but always without change. Sometimes the lack of choice is comforting, as any stuffed doll or little blanky.
The triangular life is one of deception. Even though there are choices to be made, they never really seem to make a difference. Now this may be a personal choice, or a lack of awareness. Either way it is a life of meaningless wonder and wrongly placed self worth.
The Rectangular life provides choice, as well as a difference in choice. As well as continual choice for the entirety of the journey. No illusions, no deception, just A or B, rather then A or A, or circular just A.
I've made my point, but there are still a few loose ends.
Q. Why not choose different shapes like a hexagon?
A. Even though a hexagon is different and looks more complicated, it's still a choice between A or A. Equal lengths, equal in every way. Every other closed straight edged shape can fit into one of the 3 categories.
Q. Why not use an open shape, such as a three sided rectangle or a continuation of an infinite line broken at millions of points?
A. Because this is a parallel of life and the 3 ways to live, I shall keep the analogy alive by keeping the shapes closed and never ending. The only time when we are not traveling the lines of a shape, we do not have perception to acknowledge the shapes or this analogy, for shapes don't exist when you are dead....or at least that we are aware/unaware of.
So the real point of this? I got in the mood to write and this is where my mind leads me, as uninteresting as it may be to you...
But for some reason I find this very interesting....
